I read an article today that says that the Treasury Department (TD, but read Tim Geithner) is seeking to be given the power to “seize large insurers, investment firms and hedge funds, leaping beyond its present authority to seize only banks.” What are we doing, America!? Why are we letting the executive branch of our government have so much power? Why is the legislative branch not checking this power grab? Probably because the legislative branch is dominated by Democrats who are blindly following the anointed one. It appears that they might, just might be waking up a bit. There are some small signs of intelligent life in the Congress. If we (the people, not Congress) allow this power grab to happen, where does it stop? Can the government seize General Electric if their lending arm, GE Capital is having problems? I think that’s what you’ll see. The TD will interpret this however it likes and any publicly traded company will be able to be grabbed up by the TD. Why are we letting this, along with all the other heinous things, happen? Do we not elect these officials into office? Are they not listening to us now? If that’s the case, we need to get rid of them when we can, starting with Congress in 2010. Controlling business is just a start.  And if you think they won’t go after privately held businesses if we let them get away with controlling public companies, you’re a moron. 

Democrats want to control every aspect of our lives.  They want to control health care so they can tell you what, when and most probably why you’re not going to get that procedure you need.  They want to control what we say.  Case to point, their push for the fairness doctrine.  They want to control who can own guns and what kind.  Pssst…they don’t want you owning any guns.  They’re just starting with “assault weapons”.  Handguns are next, followed by rifles, then shotguns.  Do a google search for “eric holder gun control”.  There is so much content to read, you’d grow old if you tried.  They want to control the workplace by instituting a law that would require open ballot voting for unions.  That throws sand in the face of our entire system of voting.   They are even talking about controlling how much people will make at their jobs.  They’ll start with the top execs and work their way down.  Keep in mind, this is just to keep it all fair.  Yeah, right.

President Obama has added more to the deficit in his first 60 days in office than was created from 1789 to the day before he was inaugurated.  That’s astonishing.  How will we pay for this?  Do you really think it will come only from those that make over $250K per year?  There’s not enough of those types of people to prop it up.  They have to go after the middle class to get that kind of money.  Sadly, there are all types of people out there that bought into Obama’s “95% of Americans will get a tax cut” BS.  How’s your $13 a week?  That really increased your buying power, now didn’t it.  I wonder how that will offset the increase in energy costs that EVERY American is going to have to pay.  That’s right.  If you use electricity, you will be paying an oppressive tax on your energy.  And it’s most oppressive on the lower income earners.  But these people seem to only be focused on the entitlement side of the equation. Gimme, gimme!  What they don’t seem to or don’t want to realize is that they pay a higher percentage of their income to their energy costs than does someone who makes more money than them.  Shhhh….don’t tell them this.  They’ll push for subsidized energy for lower income people.  Shhh….  Well, you know that’s gonna happen.  They won’t push for it until the taxes are in place tho.  At that point all the liberal cattle will just follow along with their gimme gimme attitudes.

If you don’t have a problem with what’s going on with all the money WE DON’T HAVE being spent, you’re not looking closely enough.  PAY ATTENTION!!!  WAKE UP!!!
